Be sure you have the correct replacement bulb before getting started.

Removing the Lamp Cover

Locate the finger grooves on both sides of the lamp housing.

Gently squeeze the sides and pull the lamp cover outward until it slides free. This will expose the bulb and socket.

Removing the Old Bulb

Using a Kimwipe or another clean, lint-free tissue, carefully grasp the old bulb and pull it straight out of the socket.

Using a tissue helps prevent oils from your fingers from contaminating the new bulb.

Installing the New Bulb

Open the package containing the new Osram 6V 20W (64250) bulb.

Fold the plastic packaging back so you can handle the bulb without touching the glass.

Insert the new bulb firmly into the socket, then remove the protective packaging.

Avoid touching the glass of the bulb with your bare fingers, as skin oils can shorten its lifespan.

Reinstalling the Lamp Cover

Once the new bulb is installed, align the lamp cover with the microscope and slide it back into place until it is fully seated.

Your microscope is now ready to use.

Replacing the bulb on a Nikon E200 is a simple maintenance task that helps keep your microscope performing at its best. By using a Kimwipe or similar tissue during installation, you can maximize the life of your new bulb.
